The choice of faux fur

Since the creation of Aline, a clear choice has been made: to create without cruelty, without compromising our values, and without giving up on style. That’s why our favorite material is faux fur. All our accessoires (fanny bags, bucket hats, chapka…) and clothing (capes, ponchos) are 100% free of animal fur. It’s a choice made with heart, with ethics, but also with style. And it’s a decision we’ll never go back on.

The animal fur industry has long been associated (wrongly) with luxury and elegance. Yet behind those glossy fashion images lie darker realities: animal suffering, factory farming, unacceptable living conditions…

Choosing faux fur means refusing to be part of that violence. It’s proof that beauty can be created without harm, and that you can have style without compromising your ethics. It’s also a form of respect, for animals, but also for those who wear our creations.

Faux fur, a much more ethical material, has long suffered from a bad image: too shiny, too synthetic, not durable enough.

Fortunately, those days are over. Today, techniques have evolved, and the materials we use are softer, higher in quality, and above all: made to last.

It’s important to understand that wearing faux fur isn’t a “lesser” choice. On the contrary, it’s a powerful one. The choice of women who want to express themselves without compromising their values. It’s a style choice, but also one of consciousness.
